What audio/video equipment is needed to make a movie?

First you’ll need a video camera. I suggest the Canon VIXIA HG20.
If you will be shooting a lot of moving shots then I would get a tripod to mount it on. There are some good microphones you can attach if you are not satisfied with the sound quality (though I think it is very good). Lastly, you will need a program to edit your footage in. If you have a Mac, Final Cut Express is the way to go
If you have a PC, I would suggest Vegas movie studio ,yet there are many other good ones.
