Inspiring Tomorrow's Audiences - Jan 20th - places still available

There's now just two weeks left until the ITA conference. More than 300 people have already booked, demonstrating that this is an exciting and much needed opportunity to discuss the future of arts education.

Speakers include Baroness Blackstone, Minister of State for the Arts, and Lord David Puttnam. More information is available on the ITA pages on the website.

Events, workshops and productions

Workshops at mac with Motionhouse Dance Theatre and the Henri Oguike Dance Company
Workshops are in February 2003 and will run for 2½ hours. Each workshop will be hosted by two dancers from the company, allowing group sizes to range from 15 to 20. It will be possible to book a full day involving a lecture and demonstration in the morning and a workshop in the afternoon. Workshops can take place at mac or if your school has the appropriate facilities it can take place at your venue.

Soho Theatre
A Little Fantasy by Told by an Idiot, 13 Jan-1 Feb
A highly original take on 'the family', the power struggles and the bonds that can never be broken.

Trestle Theatre Company - Workshops for Teachers
Following great feedback from the participants of Trestle's new workshops for Teachers this Autumn, Toby Wilsher, Artistic Director of Trestle will be running two further workshops in February 2003. Workshops will take place at the brand new Trestle Arts Base in St Albans.

These workshops on Teaching Mask Theatre and Devising will give teachers the opportunity to develop their own skills as well as new tools to help their students produce great work.

Feb 12th -- Teaching Mask Theatre
A practical day looking at the various approaches to getting young people into masks. Will cover 'hot-seating', characterisation and impro as well as tips on devising and developmental work. £100

Feb 13th -- Devising
A general devising day looking at starting points, presentation techniques, group dynamics and problem solving. Narrative structures are explored as well as techniques for working with both large and small casts. £100
